Busy Girl

Well since I last posted Emmy was busy having her first Christmas. She got a ton of great toys and clothes - very spoiled girl and she was SO Good!!

We decided to give her a little rice cereal to try as she has been really showing interest in food and getting crabby when she watched us eat. (oh and prunes) She looooves to eat and is such a good eater! She's getting so big! Yesterday we went to visit her cousins - they are so much fun. I will post some pics and try to post a video or 2 later - Brad got me a video camera and I love it!

4 month check-up

Emmy had her 4 month check-up today. Brad took her and I had to miss because of an appointment. :( But the doctor said she looks perfect. She is 24 inches long- 38th%, weighs 14.38 lbs-66th percentile and got 3 shots. Poor baby but took them like a champ. She was talking up a storm when I got home. I really need to get a video camera so I can upload videos. She has become very chatty and is now giggling.
Daddy daycare is going very well. She loves getting read too and loves her bouncer. She also loves to take her naps with daddy too...She has us wrapped around her little fingers!
As for mornings with mommy- for the last week they have been starting up at about 4:30- makes for a long day. I love it though because she is SO happy at this time of day...but all I want for Christmas is a loooong nap:)

doc said i can start on solid foods now...well maybe not cookies but rice cereal...yum!

Almost 4 months....

Look how big she's getting. She sat in her high chair just for a moment - it was funny. She sucked on the tray - good thing it was clean!
We are closing in on 4 months. Just thought we'd share some photos.
(No wonder she wont sleep anywhere but in someone's arms...we've created a monster!)

I'm so darn cute

I'm about this close to buying a video camera so I can post video on my blog. She is getting sooo animated in the morning and I hate missing it! This morning she had so much to tell me when she woke up!

White Bear Lake- pay your bills so I can go to Disney World

Today Emmy was watching Brad print out bills for his business. I told Brad we should include a photo of her asking his customers to pay their bills so Emmy can go to college and Disney World one day. :) That's the line he uses on me when I tell him I want to quit my job and be a stay at home mom!

I'm going to post a bunch of pics in another update as Emmy has been busy getting baptized and being cute!

will you be an innie or an outie?

Well Emmy and Brad visited Dr. Hanson yesterday. We were worried about Emmy's hernia. It was looking really red and kind of bruised. But the doc said it looks normal, the red are blood vessels and sometimes it takes up to 2 years for the hole under her belly button to close up. So she is going to keep us guessing on whether it will go in or stay out. She was weighed again, 13 lbs 4 oz. And everything else is GREAT. I asked Brad to ask about the H1N1 virus as I knew they had gotten some vaccines in. His words were - we are not getting that. Well an hour later, he had his shot! I guess one parent gets to have it and although he was telling me we werent getting it, he was first in line for his! :) Gotta love our doc though, she snuck one in for him during Emmy's appt and I guess the receptionist was not too pleased! She told him she would give me mine at her 4 month check up.

I'm sitting here waiting for Brad to get home so I can get to work. I am supposed to drop Emmy off at Lauren's but someone forgot to take the carseat base out of his car. Soooo I hope I'm not late for my meeting! It's a doozy one too.

Here are some new pics of our sweet sweet girl. We have been bouncing her in the bouncer - she LOVES it. Talks and her eyes get huge and she starts waving her arms all over like she cannot believe all the stuff to look at!

Well I leave for work and what happens, according to Brad, Emmy can now walk. I knew I could possibly miss her first steps :( but I didnt think it could happen so soon! I tried to get a picture but Brad had to help her because she was tired from all that walking by the time I got there. Shoot - she seems to have a lot of firsts with Daddy!
Back at work is going okay but I think I came back at the absolute worst possible time. It's absolutely crazy because of the upcoming Holiday so you can see- I'm working hard! (updating the blog!)
Emmy has been with the nanny (Kari) twice now and is doing very well. Her and Hannah are getting along very well and hopefully will grow up to be GREAT friends like Brad and Lauren were. I'm doing okay but it is hard. Brad tells Emmy mommy goes to work so we can take you to Disney World one day. I guess that makes me feel a little better. :)
Okay, now I really do need to get to work!

My little Gremlin!

Well Emmy was a tad on the crabby side today....not sure if the time change finally caught up to her but WOW. Maybe she just misses her boyfriend? I think she is trying to make me want to return to work but it's not working! I am just so devastated that I have to go back Friday. She is just so darn cute I think but I may be biased....Here are some new pictures.

Halloween

Emmy had her first Halloween yesterday. She was a little lamb. We saw lots of her friends and she got her very first boyfriend - Henry Artisensi. What a cutie! Good choice Emmy! She was playing hard to get - (well actually they were both glued to the Gopher's game on TV). At least they enjoy the same activities. :)
We also saw her friend Cameron Stockness. She was a crocodile and her parents were the crocodile hunter and his wife. Very cute!
One more week until I go back to work. I'm heartbroken. I never thought I could be a stay at home mom until I met Emmy. It's going to be a very hard week!

Ha, that is what daddy said tonight. Funny, I wonder what would happen if we didnt pay the medical bills. I doubt the bank would come to reposses her? :) Tonight she had a little breakdown at the Markell's. I think she gets overtired and has too much stimulation and starts screaming for awhile. Now she doesnt want to go to bed and is watching baseball with daddy. But hopefullyl she will sleep soon. We are having a lot of fun with her and she is doing very well. Smiling more and using more sounds. So fun to watch her growing.
